DONOVAN ADDS DEMKOTA RANCH BEEF TO PORTFOLIO OF CLIENTS

For one local marketing and advertising company, beefing is actually a good thing.

Donovan, a Lititz-based marketing and advertising agency with well-known food and beverage clients, has won the business of DemKota Ranch Beef, a processor and supplier of premium beef products.

With the win, Donovan embarks on creating a new identity for the 6-year-old brand, leaning to the agency’s food, beverage and branding expertise.

DemKota produces a superior lineup of Elite, Gold, Legacy, Legacy Angus, Certified Angus Beef products. Led by their Heartland values, their beef consistently scores above the USDA standard.

The addition of this beef client, a first for Donovan, gives the agency a new opportunity to apply its expertise in center-plate brands.

“We’re super excited to add another protein brand to our roster, and a new one to us at that,” said Jane Flemming, President of Donovan. “Their ask was right in our wheelhouse. This should be a blast to work on.”

DemKota’s RFP asked agencies to create and present strategies to rebrand and reposition the company, focusing on brand research, brand architecture and creating and developing the DemKota brand for the public. They also requested plans for how agencies would bring the brand to life through digital & social media strategy, content development and refreshing the DemKota website.

Donovan’s presentation went above and beyond the initial request to show creative examples of what the brand could be. This included video, ad layouts, social posts and more for a number of differentiated brand executions.

The Donovan team is coordinating with the DemKota team to ramp up the Discovery/Research phase of the brand development, which will begin in earnest in the March/April timeframe.
